The maximum AAFC contribution for a project will normally not exceed $1 million. You can apply for and receive funding for more than one project, but generally speaking, funding will not be more than $5 million over 5 years for each applicant.

Description

The Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program (CASPP) Canadian Agriculture Strategic Priorities Program (CASPP) is a $10 million per year program of non-repayable contribution funding. The program supports the Canadian agricultural sector’s participation in the Government of Canada’s growth and policy objectives, by investing in the sector’s design, development and implementation of tools and strategies to respond to and seize opportunities created by these objectives.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants under CASPP are:

  • not-for-profit organizations including associations, cooperatives and marketing boards
  • Indigenous groups

Note: normally for-profits are not eligible but may be considered for funding in situations where the benefit will be accrued through the entire sector or significant benefits can be accrued to public safety and/or the public good.

Eligible costs include:

  • Administrative Costs
  • Salaries and benefits
  • Contracted services
  • Travel costs
  • Capital assets
  • Other direct project costs

Deadline Date

  First come, first-serve basis. Applications are only being accepted for projects with end dates on or before March 31, 2024.
