To improve the chances of success of an aspiring farm business, this financial product offers a capital payment holiday of up to five years. Capital Support for Aspiring Farmers  aims to reduce the pressure on your company’s cash flow during the transfer or start-up phase. The amount for the capital payment holiday is determined according to certain parameters related to your project.

Eligible Applicants

You can qualify your operation for our Capital Support for Aspiring Farmers product if you meet notably the following criteria:

  • Are domiciled in Québec;
  • Are at least 18 years of age but not yet 40;
  • Hold at least 20% of the operation’s shares;
  • Count at least one year’s relevant experience in agriculture;
  • Have a potentially profitable start-up or establishment project.
