The Crop and Livestock Management Trials Program will support alternative animal or crop performance management strategies. Through the assessment, implementation, or adoption of these strategies, all proposed projects should improve farm and industry competitiveness, productivity, and profitability.
Eligible Applicants
An eligible applicant is an agricultural industry association that:
- represents identifiable Nova Scotia agriculture and agri-food products; and
- demonstrates not-for-profit status by providing appropriate documentation.
Industry partnerships with research organizations (universities, foundations, industry organizations) are encouraged.
Eligible Expenses
a. Direct project costs
b. Administrative and general overhead (maximum of 10%)
c. Contracted labor / consultants / professional fees
d. Materials & supplies
e. Travel (in province)
f. Equipment rental
g. Small equipment or tools with a value of $100 or less
h. Transfer of knowledge / sharing of information activities; ex: pamphlet, on-farm event, onepage flyer, publication costs, etc.
i. HST for qualifying not-for-profit organizations
