Description

Food Safety for Processors aims to enhance food safety in Saskatchewan production facilities. This program supports food processors to achieve food safety regulatory requirements that will increase their competitiveness, productivity, and profitability.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants include Saskatchewan food processing companies that are regulated by a government agency (could include health, provincial or federally inspected facilities).

Eligible Expenses

Eligible projects/activities include:

  • Food Safety Training- food processors can seek funding from the Ministry for plant-specific training related to critical control points and as outlined in the gap analysis.
  • Food Processor Facility Upgrade Program Eligible Expenses -eligible expenses are related to upgrading operations to meet food safety standards as outlined in their gap analysis.

Deadline Date

  Eligible applicants will need to complete their project, obtain any required permits and submit their final claim by December 31, 2022.
