The Major Festivals and Events Support Initiative (MFESI) is a two-year, $200-million national fund to help major Canadian festivals survive and adapt to the pandemic. It will also help position them for post-pandemic economic recovery and growth.
To be eligible for funding under the MFESI, organizations must demonstrate an annual revenue exceeding $10 million.

For Canadian festival and cultural event organizations that don’t qualify for funding through the MFESI, additional support is available through Canadian Heritage with the Reopening Fund and the Recovery Fund for Arts, Culture, Heritage, and Sport Sectors.
