Note: The former Status of Women Community Grant Program has been consolidated under the Community Initiatives Program (CIP) – Project Based stream for community-based initiatives focused on addressing gender-based violence, women’s economic security and women in leadership.
CIP Project-Based funding is approved on a matching basis. The applicant must contribute towards the expenses of the project an equal or greater amount than the CIP Project-Based grant request. The matching funding may be in the form of cash or donated labour, equipment or materials, all of which must be directly related to the project. Eligible Applicants
- Eligible organizations who are registered, and have been operating in Alberta for a minimum of one calendar year and are in good standing
- A First Nation or Metis Settlement in Alberta
- Foundations established and regulated under Alberta’s Regional Health Authorities Act
- A University, college, or institute as defined under Alberta’s Post-Secondary Learning Act
Eligible Expenses
CIP Project-Based funding stream provides grant support to eligible organizations for community projects; new programs, one-time initiatives, program expansions, and community events in Alberta.
