Description

The Strategic Research Initiative provides targeted funding to advance strategic priorities within the industry. Projects are expected to go beyond the scope and scale of work normally undertaken within the Agricultural Development Fund (ADF), with the goal to address complex challenges facing the industry. Funding is awarded on an annual basis and projects are selected through the Agriculture Development Fund Advisory Committee.

Eligible Applicants

Beef industry, pasture and rangeland resources under the diverse environmental conditions

Eligible Expenses

Projects that gather and synthesize knowledge from the following complementary areas:

  • Forage breeding
  • Forage management
  • Grazing and livestock management
  • Environmental sustainability and agricultural economics
