Partnership Intake Program | Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA)

Description:

Imagine a future where those who share and support our vision know they are helping to create a strong province for future generations.

Collaboration is critical to success, and ERA is working closely with government, industry, funders, and innovators to secure a lower carbon future for Alberta.

Together, we are helping to create complete solutions, including the suite of policy, regulatory, finance, program, and business innovation tools required to address system challenges and deploy new technologies.

We’ve benefited greatly from formal relationships and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with organizations such as Alberta Innovates and Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), as well as informal collaboration with organizations like Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA). We learn from each other, and we will build on this experience and continue to broaden our network over the coming years.

Our success with collaborative initiatives has led ERA to introduce a Partnership Intake Pilot. This Pilot allows ERA to evaluate proposals from trusted partners, like SDTC, and consider projects for funding outside of the normal competitive calls for proposal process.

Trusted partners include funding organizations with rigorous, fair and transparent due diligence processes comparable in principle to ERA’s, including elements such as peer review and technical expertise.

The Pilot will provide credible technology developers more timely access to ERA funding, allow us to leverage our trusted partners’ due diligence processes, and enable us to develop capacity and processes for evaluating applications on an ongoing basis.
