Protein Industries Canada – Technology Leadership program: New deadline to submit: Feb. 13, 2025.

Youth Employment and Skills Program: application is until February 24, 2025. 

Foodtech Next: funding from CFIN will be 50% of total eligible project costs, or $250,000. Deadlines: EoI: February 24 – April 7, 2025; Full Application: May 26, 2025. 

CFIN’s Innovation Booster: designed to provide flexible and rapid support to SMEs for achieving their commercialization goals. Deadlines: Round 1: February 24 – March 25, 2025; Round 2: July 7 – August 12, 2025. 

Dairy Direct Payment Program: $250 million will be made available up to March 31, 2025. 

FCC’s Sustainability Incentive Program: receive one payment per year at a maximum of $2,000. Applications will re-open in May 2025.

AgriMarketing Program: is oversubscribed, and currently out of funding for applications. There will be second intake for applications in the Spring of 2025. Stay tuned for more details.

Food Innovation Challenge – Cultivating a resilient food future: Developing the end-to-end Cellular Food capacity for Canadian global leadership. May open in 2025.

Learn the important changes to AgriInvest start with the 2025 program year. 

AgriAssurance Program – National Industry Association Component: AAFC will contribute up to $1 million grant per year. Application is ongoing until September 30, 2027; however, the application period may close sooner if funding has been fully committed.

AgriAssurance Program – Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Component: AAFC contribution toward a project up to $50,000. Application is ongoing until September 30, 2027; however, the application period may close sooner if funding has been fully committed.

AgriInnovate Program: funding up to $5,000,000. Applications is ongoing until the end of the program on March 31, 2028, or until funding has been fully committed.

Agricultural Clean Technology Program: Program funding for the Research and Innovation Stream is $50 million. Program ends March 31, 2028.

Supply Management Processing Investment Fund contributes up to $5 million in non-repayable contribution to an organization over the life of the program until March 31, 2028.

Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program: access up to $1M funding per year up to five years. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis until the end of the program on March 31, 2029.

Poultry and Egg On-Farm Investment Program (PEFIP): provides non-repayable contributions of almost $759 million over 10 years. Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2030.

Matching Investment Fund provides non-repayable contributions for product development projects on a matching investment basis. Applications is accepted on a first come, first serve basis subject to available funds. 

CAAIN 2024 – 2025 Open Competition: $6M CAD in funding to support innovations in agriculture and their adoption in the commercial space. Rolling intake is now open. 

Market Development Program for Turkey and Chicken: The program will provide over $44 million to the sector over the next 10 years.

Canada Pavilion Program: aims to make trade show participation easier for Canadian companies at the world’s premier food and beverage events. Application is ongoing. 

Protein Industries Canada will be investing $30 million into these artificial intelligence projects, benefiting the plant-based and agrifood sector. Application is still open.

Venture-Capital Ready: This fully funded investment training program is specifically designed for established food businesses throughout Canada. Register now.

The Canada Feature Film Fund (“CFFF”) of Telefilm Canada (“Telefilm”) seeks to improve the long-term viability of the Canadian audiovisual industry. Deadline: February 18, 2025. 

International Promotion Program: aimed at encouraging the international promotion of Canadian audiovisual works through participation in international festivals and events. Deadline: February 18, 2025. 

National Multisport Services Organization — Sport Support Program: Deadline: March 16, 2025. 

Research and Creation component of Explore and Create: provides up to $25,000. Submit your application anytime before the start of your project until March 19, 2025.

Sector Innovation and Development component of Supporting Artistic Practice: funding up to $50,000. Deadline: March 26, 2025.

Apprenticeship Completion Grant (ACG): one-time taxable cash grant lifetime amount of $2,000 per person for registered apprentices. The program will end March 31, 2025. 

Artist – Driven Organizations component of the Explore and Create program: The Canada Council for the Arts has extended the deadline to the spring of 2025.

Translation component of Arts Abroad: up to $20,000 for each translation. Deadline: April 2, 2025. 

Community Cultural Action Fund — Development of Official Language Communities. Deadline: Funding application- April 6. 

Public Outreach component of Arts Across Canada: up to $100,000. Deadline: April 9, 2025.

Local Festivals – Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage. Application deadlines: April 30; October 15. 

FACTOR – Collective Initiatives: access up to $75,000. Deadline: Period 4 – May 1, 2025. 

Sponsorship program allows FACTOR to support music-related projects and events which are not captured in other program mandates. Deadline: Period 4 – May 8, 2025. 

National Creation Fund: invest up to $2,000,000 a year in 9 to 11 projects.  Application is ongoing. 

Canada Cultural Spaces Fund supports the improvement of physical conditions for arts, heritage culture and creative innovation. Application is ongoing.

International Single Sport Events — Hosting Program: access up to $250,000 (Tier I) or more that $250,000 (Tier II). Application is ongoing. 

Limited Support to Endangered Arts Organizations – Canada Cultural Investment Fund: access up to $250,000 funding. Application is ongoing.

Movable Cultural Property Grants help designated organizations acquire cultural property of outstanding significance and national importance to Canada. Application is ongoing.

The Events component of the Community Support, Multiculturalism, and Anti-Racism Initiatives Program provides funding to community-based events.

Legacy Fund – Building Communities through Arts and Heritage: access up to a maximum of $500,000.

Video program: A maximum of $40,000 in video funding is available per qualifying release per fiscal year, across all programs. Apply multiple times throughout the year.

Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit (CPTC) provides eligible productions with a fully refundable tax credit, available at a rate of 25 per cent of the qualified labour expenditure. applications on an ongoing basis.

Canada Retraining and Opportunities Initiative: application is until March 31, 2025 or close earlier if funding has been fully committed. 

The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG) helps you pay for expenses while you train as an apprentice in a designated Red Seal trade. The program will end March 31, 2025.

Research Affiliate Program: work part-time as a research affiliate with the Government of Canada

TECTERRA Legacy Program: attracts aspiring geomatics enthusiasts and offers co-op and internship opportunities for job placement, and invests in advanced technology to enhance geomatics education. 

EHRC – Destination Trade: Providing financial incentives of up to $5,000. Open to applications. 

Self Employment Training Program: To learn more, join an online Information Session offered every Monday at 11:00 am or Wednesday at 2:00 pm.

Student Work Placement (Co-Op): provide 50% of a wage up to a maximum of $5,000 to eligible employers who hire the brightest minds in STEAM and Business. Application is now open. 

YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange (SWSE): Applications are open for the 2025 summer exchange program!  

Innovative Work-Integrated Learning (I-WIL) initiative helps give valuable and relevant work experience to post-secondary students across Canada. 

Wage Earner Protection Program (WEPP): provides timely payment of eligible wages owing to workers whose employer has gone bankrupt or become subject to receivership.

Science & Technology Internship Program (STIP) – Green Jobs: Up to 75% in wage subsidies are available for employers. Apply through delivery organization.

Women’s Employment Skills Training (WEST): a 9 week program, specially tailored to empower women and provide them with a comprehensive introduction to essential careers within the aviation industry.

Science Horizons Youth Internship Program: wage subsidies up to $25,000. Applications for 2024-2025 intake are open!

GRIT (Get Ready in Trades) is a trades-focused career exploration and development program created for youth with disabilities and barriers to success. Application is ongoing.

Work-Sharing Program helps employers and employees avoid layoffs, when there is a temporary decrease in the normal level of business activity that is beyond the control of the employer.

Compensation for Employers of Reservists Program: applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Computers for Schools Intern (CFSI) program seeks to enhance the employability and marketability of youth through internships. Application is ongoing.

TECHNATION’s Career Ready Program: An increased subsidy of 70% (to a maximum of $7000.00) is awarded to employers hiring students from under-represented groups

Canadian Benefit for Parents of Young Victims of Crime: eligible parents with payments of $500 per week, paid every 2 weeks, for a maximum of 35 weeks over a period of 3 years.

Career Starter wage subsidy open for a limited time. Get up to $15k to hire young talent.

NEW! CleanBC – Organics Funding Program – Province of British Columbia: B.C. government will contribute $15 million to fund up to 66% of eligible project costs. Deadline: February 13, 2025.

FCM’s Tree Planting – Funding for ambitious and equitable tree planting projects. Access up to a maximum of $10 million in project funding. Deadline: February 4, 2025.

Deep Retrofit Accelerator Initiative: second call for applications provides a non-repayable contribution for eligible projects. Deadline: February 12, 2025. 

Funding for Indigenous-led awareness and education projects for cleaner transportation and clean fuels. Call for proposals with continuous intake open until March 31, 2025, or until funds are fully allocated.

Nature Smart Climate Solutions Fund – Emission Reductions Intake: application is now open until all funding for fiscal year 2025-26 is allocated. 

Green Freight Program: Stream 1 (Assess and Retrofit): is providing grant funding up to a maximum of $250,000. Continuous intake basis until March 31, 2027.

Emissions Reduction Advancement Program: An industry-funded program established under the Clean Fuel Regulations that will support projects that reduce short term GHG emissions in Canada. More details will be provided in due course.

Federal Internal Energy R&D: funds energy-related RD&D activities undertaken in federal departments and agencies. 

Canada Nature Fund for Aquatic Species at Risk: application is now open. 

Critical Habitat Interdepartmental Program: funding up to $80,000. The call for proposals for the 2025-2026 fiscal year is now open. 

2 Billion Trees Program: The ongoing call for proposals is open.

Clean Water and Wastewater Fund: provide short-term funding of $2 billion for projects that will contribute to the rehabilitation of both water treatment and distribution infrastructure and existing wastewater and storm water treatment systems. 

Clean economy investment tax credits (ITCs): your business may be eligible for tax credits for investments in Canada that support the transition to net zero emissions.

Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities Program: still accepting applications under these streams: Biomass heating, district heating, and combined heat and power systems and Research, Development, and Demonstration projects.

Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund provides funding directly to provinces and territories to help them reduce carbon pollution, meet Canada’s 2030 climate target, and support our goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.

Foreign Credential Recognition Program: provides funding for programs that contribute to the integration of skilled newcomers in their field or related field of study.
