Description

The Career Development program is designed to recognize and encourage arts professionals who have demonstrated exceptional artistic talent and potential, and who are pursuing a career in the arts. The Professionalization and Promotion component is designed to assist professional artists to produce tools related to the promotion of the artist’s work and career with a view to broadening the dissemination of their work and diversifying their sources of funding.

Eligible Applicants

In order to be eligible for artsnb funding, an applicant must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen, have an affiliation with a First Nation on Turtle Island, be a permanent resident of Canada or have an application for permanent resident in process;
  • Have resided in New Brunswick for at least one year (12 months) prior to the application deadline;
  • Must qualify as a professional artist: artsnb Definition of a Professional Artist.

Artists who present a project in a discipline other than the one in which they normally operate must have at least one presentation or work in that discipline in a professional context.

Eligible Expenses

Eligible expenses are limited to:

  • Professional fees for a professional photographer, videographer, literary editor, translator, curator, graphic designer, etc., including travel expenses and production cost of the documentation
  • Fees related to the rental of equipment or space
  • Fees related to website development, domain fees, and hosting

Deadline Date

Open and closes. (January 1, March 1, May 1, July 1, September 1, November 1) annually.
