Description

The Innovative Clean Energy (ICE) Fund is excited to launch the third year of the Targeted Call for Clean Energy Innovation. $12.3M has been committed to this call over a three-year period.

Eligible Applicants

The ICE Fund Targeted Call supports the development and deployment of B.C.-based innovative clean energy technology solutions. The Targeted Call is designed to support provincial priorities including the implementation of the Clean Power Action Plan (PDF, 4.26 MB). The ICE Fund supports enabling technologies that make electricity use efficient, reliable and cost‑effective. In addition, accelerating clean energy technology commercialization helps develop and scale local innovations, complementing government’s work in economic, environmental and climate change priorities.

Eligible Expenses

The preferred 2026 Targeted Call themes are:

  • Electrification Affordability and Efficiency: Technology solutions that reduce the cost and/or increase the feasibility of efficient electricity use in residential, commercial, and institutional settings.
  • Utility Energy Management and Smart Grids : Technologies that enhance utility energy and capacity management, reducing the need for service upgrades through innovative and emerging solutions.

Deadline Date

Applications will be accepted from May 12, 2026 until June 15, 2026 at 4pm PT.
