Do any of these lines apply to you?

  • I'm new to grants. How do I get started?
  • People tell me there are "grants out there," but I don't know where to get started.
  • I don't even know where to begin in grants.
  • Where are the best grants for my business?
  • I hear that grants are a nightmare. How do I avoid grant traps?

Hi there,

I'm David Kincade.

I could list a hundred different questions like above. Seems like everyday I'm asked about grants, so I have put together my best grant tips, the top grants by industry (start-up, consulting, agriculture, environment, exports, and technology), and important points on meeting the grant agency and writing grants.

I've put it online to watch at your convience.

This 52 minute class is for business owners; it's NOT for non-profit organizations - although any grant writer would still learn from the section on grant writing tips.

When I started working at the Alberta Legislature in 2004, my boss gave me clear instructions: FOLLOW THE MONEY.

So I did, and did we have fun. We found grants all over the place. Literally.

Check out this grant:

I know. Crazy right?

After working at the Legislature for nearly four years, I started writing and winning grants. My first client was an amazing company called Champion Petfoods. I was Champion's grant guy, and well, here is how its CEO feels about it:

“I’ve known and worked with David for years. He is an expert at government grants, political process, and business awards. If you’re trying to secure government funding, you found the best.”
— Frank Burdzy, President & CEO Champion Petfoods

Then I started to work with other companies in technology, and I had similar winning results. Check out what the owner of the 2017 Innovation of the Year - AIRMILES Small Business Achievement Award and 2017 Alberta Small Business Award of Distinction has to say:

I’ve known David for several years. He is hard-working, organized and brilliant at securing government funding and winning awards. If you’re trying to secure government funding, he is head and shoulders above the rest anyone else we have worked with.
— Ted Power President ViewTrak Technologies

Then I started on environment grants because, well, they have a bunch of grants and I thought it would be cool to use my gifts to make the planet a better place.  The 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Cleantech and Environment hired me, and one more time, here is what he said about my ability to understand and WIN grants:

“I have worked with David Kincade over the past year and find him both high integrity and very knowledgeable. David told us what he would do, when, and delivered every time. Uncommon in today’s world so I highly recommend him. He has completed more grants by far than his costs.”
— Ed Alfke, Chair Carbon Credit Solutions Inc.

Ok you get the point.

But do you see the problem here?

Look, I love my million-dollar clients. They have fed my family, and I will forever be grateful and continue to put my skills to work for them.

But here the thing.

I quickly found that I could only serve a handful of clients.

As I was writing my blog, I had more and more entrepreneurs reaching out to me.

I kept getting questions about grants:

  • I'm new to grants, can you help me understand this grant thing?
  • I know there are grants in my industry, but I'm too busy to look for grants, can you help?
  • Which grant do I start with?
  • Any grants for start-up or consulting business?
  • Can you help me find a grant quickly?

You get the picture.

So I said: it's time to serve everyone. I need to create Grants 101 Classs, and I need the objectives to be clear. Here they are:

Here's another thing I learned about grants.

While there are hundreds of grants in my database, each grant sector has a few key grants. If you know where those grants are, you are well on your way.

I also found that grants were highly distracting for entrepreneurs. I often here, "people keep telling me there are a lot of grants out there, and I should look into them."

The truth is in some cases yes, but in others no. I wanted to create a product that ended the debate once and for all. When you are done with this webinar, you will have a clear go/no milestone and direction on where to go.

Finally, time. Google grants and searching government databases is fine if you don't need to be working on your business. I wanted to create something in less than and hour with jam-packed grant value. And according to the reviews on my first webinar, mission accomplished.

So here is the 52 minute webinar structure:

And here are the industries where I show you the top grants by industry. Did you get that? I show you exactly where the money is in each of these industries! If you are in any of these industries, I will guarantee you will get tremendous value in this webinar:

Are you ready to make an amazing grant investment? I know this might sound corny, but I guarantee you will get huge value from this class or you get your money back. I'm serious.

Now that you have nothing to lose, let's get started.
