Ag Demonstration of Practices and Technologies (ADOPT)




Ag Demonstration of Practices and Technologies (ADOPT) is to accelerate the transfer of knowledge to Saskatchewan producers and ranchers. This program provides funding to help producer groups demonstrate and evaluate new agricultural practices and technologies at the local level. The results of successful trials can then be adopted by farming operations in the region.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible recipients include incorporated Saskatchewan-based producer groups, such as:

  • Agri-ARM sites;
  • the Irrigation Crop Diversification Corporation; and
  • commodity groups.

Note: Individual producers are not eligible to receive funding under this program, but are encouraged to bring project ideas forward through a local producer group.

Eligible Expenses

  • All direct project costs;
  • Administration costs up to five per cent; and
  • Field day costs to a maximum of $1,000 (if part of funded demonstration project)

Deadline Date

  There are two deadlines for submission of applications: Fall projects - June 7 of each year and Spring projects - November 22 of each year
