The Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Return to Play Grant is designed to support Albertans in their return to sport, physical activity, and recreation programming.
This grant program is funded by the Government of Alberta and administered by KidSport Alberta and the Alberta Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA). Both have a close connection to community and experience in funding sport, physical activity and recreation opportunities.
KidSport Alberta will accept applications and distribute grants to over 7,000 children and youth to assist with the registration costs for sport programs across Alberta. The grants can offset organized sport registration fees for programs such as swimming, soccer, gymnastics and dance to assist children and youth to get active again.
This grant stream supports community level organizations in their delivery of sport, physical activity, and recreation programming by:
