JANUARY

  1. Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Funding Program – Contributions: Up to $900,000 for a project that is up to 36 months. Deadline: January 22, 2024.
  2. Sustainable Development Goals Program – Grants Stream: Up to $200,000 for a project that is up to 24 months. The Call for Proposals has been extended to January 22, 2024.
  3. Alberta Ecotrust Foundation’s Environmental Grants: Expression of Interest intake is now open until January 22, 2024.
  4. United Kingdom Fintech – Canadian Technology Accelerator. Deadline: January 24, 2024.
  5. Ethnocultural Grant Program: provide funding for projects that encourage people to share, learn, appreciate, and respect cultural diversity. Deadline: January 26, 2024.
  6. Energy Innovation Program – National Energy Systems Modelling Call is now open for EoI until January 26, 2024.
  7. Listen, Hear our Voices: Library and Archives Canada (LAC) will award eligible projects up to $100,000. Deadline: January 30, 2024.
  8. Community Initiatives Program (CIP) Operating stream: provide up to $75,000 funding. Deadline: January 30, 2024.
  9. Agricultural Societies Infrastructure Revitalization Program: maximum amount of grant that may be awarded for a project is $100,000. Deadline:  January 31, 2024.
  10. Building Capacity with the Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways Program: Request for Proposals intake window is now open until January 31, 2024.
  11. Energy Innovation Program Smart Grid Regulatory Innovation Capacity Building Call for Proposals: request between $250,000 and $1,500,000 funding. Deadline: January 31, 2024.
  12. Pre-Retrofit Funding for multi-unit residential buildings: Get up to $130,000 in contributions. Now accepting applications until January 31, 2024.
  13. Hire a temporary foreign worker through the Recognized Employer Pilot. Phase 1 is now ongoing. Applications for Phase 2 will start in January 2024.
  14. Climate Innovation Grant Program: Expression of interest for the 2024 grant stream will open January 29, 2024.
  15. Biotalent’s Student Work Placement Program has reopened for January to March 2024 applications, with a limited capacity. Apply today before spots fill up!
  16. Green Industrial Facilities and Manufacturing Program – Energy Efficiency Solutions: access funding up to $20 million per proposal. Next call is anticipated to be launched in early 2024. 
  17. International Youth Internship Program (IYIP) offers Canadian youth to gain professional experience abroad in the field of international development. More internship opportunities are coming in 2024. 
  18. Agri-Food and Bioindustrial Innovation Program: provides up to $500,000 per project and up to 75% of total project costs. Application is ongoing.
  19. Rural Transit Solutions Fund of the Capital Projects stream: applicants can apply for a contribution of up to $5 million. Application is ongoing.
  20. Health Facilities Program provide funding for infrastructure that supports the delivery of health-related programs and services.
  21. International Technology Partnership supports Alberta businesses with up to $250,000 to develop products or to conduct pilot tests with an international partner.
  22. Incentives for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicles (iMHZEV) Program: provide eligible purchasing/leasing organizations with incentives of up to $200,000.
  23. Woodcock Fund: aims to distribute more than $100,000 each year in grants ranging from $2,000 to $12,000, depending upon the severity of the emergency.
  24. FACTOR Video program: maximum of $40,000 in video funding is available per qualifying release per fiscal year, across all programs. Application is ongoing.
  25. Canada Brand is open to export-ready, registered Canadian business entities that have a role in producing, promoting or supporting Canadian agriculture, food or seafood products. 
  26. Bursary for Internationally Educated Nurses (BIEN): up to $30,000 bursary per learner. The application is first-come, first-served.
  27. Regional Quantum Initiative (RQI) in the Prairie Provinces: EOIs will be accepted on a continuous intake basis until the funding is fully allocated.
  28. Clean Tech Internships: Up to $30,000 is available to cover 80% of an intern’s salary, training and wrap-around service costs.
  29. Green Jobs Internship program: subsidize up to a maximum of $30,000 for youth ages 15 to 30 in the natural resources sector.
  30. Eurostars is the largest international funding program for SMEs seeking to collaborate on R&D projects for commercialization.
  31. Are you ready to go global or explore new markets? The Trade Accelerator Program is your ticket to take your business to the next level.

FEBRUARY

  1. Digital Innovation in Clean Energy (DICE) program supports the development of digital technologies that create value and jobs while reducing emissions in the energy sector. Deadline: February 1, 2024.
  2. Provincial Arts Service Organizations Operating Funding: designed to support your organization’s operations. Deadline: February 1, 2024.
  3. Neighbour Grants offers up to $7,500 to help people build their sense of inclusive belonging in their own communities. Next deadline: February 1, 2024.
  4. Alberta Community Partnership – Mediation and cooperative processes: The deadline for 2023-24 MCP applications is February 1, 2024.
  5. Connection Grants: access up to $50,000 or higher amounts can be considered if well justified. Next deadline: February 1, 2024.
  6. Heritage Awareness Grants and Research grants provide matching grants of up to $25,000. The annual application deadline is the first working day of February.
  7. Historic Resource Conservation Grants: maximum matching grants available up to $50,000 per historic place. The annual application deadline is the first working day of February.
  8. Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program:  Year 2 intake will open on February 1, 2024.
  9. Insight Development Grants: valued at $7,000 to $75,000 over one to two years. Deadline: February 4, 2024.
  10. Young Canada Works in Both Official Languages: benefit from salary subsidies and access to a pool of talented youth. Deadline: First come first serve to applications submitted after February 3rd.
  11. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has launched the Agricultural Methane Reduction Challenge, a $12 million funding opportunity aimed at decreasing methane emissions in the cattle sector.  Deadline: February 7, 2024.
  12. The Accelerator Partnership Program (A2P) is designed to provide producers of digital media projects. Application is first come, first served. Closing date: February 8, 2024.
  13. Low Carbon Economy Challenge: application is now open until February 8, 2024.
  14. Anti-Racism Grant Program: grant funding for activities and initiatives that help address and prevent racism and promote inclusive multicultural communities. Deadline: February 9, 2024.
  15. Research and Knowledge Initiative (RKI): Infrastructure Canada has allocated a maximum of $10 million in total contributions for this call for proposals. Deadline: February 9, 2024.
  16. First Nations and Inuit Summer Work Experience Program and First Nations and Inuit Skills Link Program: application is now open until February 9, 2024.
  17. Edmonton Arts Council’s Grants for Individuals & Collectives is open until February 15, 2024.
  18. The Agricultural Societies Infrastructure Revitalization Program provides annual capital funding to help agricultural societies make major repairs to existing infrastructure. Deadline: February 15, 2024.
  19. John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF) is a critical strategic investment tool designed to help institutions attract and retain the very best of today’s and tomorrow’s researchers. Next deadline: February 15, 2024.
  20. ClimateWest has a total of $300,000 in funding available to support approved projects. Up to $50,000 may be awarded per project proposal. Deadline: February 20, 2024.
  21. Energy Innovation Program – Carbon capture, utilization and storage RD&D Call – Utilization Focus Area is now open until February 23, 2024.
  22. Disaster Recovery Program provides financial assistance for uninsurable loss and damage caused by emergencies and disasters. Deadline: February 26, 2024.   
  23. Alberta Real Estate Foundation funds initiatives that support and advance education, research, law reform, and other activities related to real estate. Up to $250,000 funding available. Deadline: February 27, 2024.
  24. Boston and San Francisco digital health – Canadian Technology Accelerator. Deadline: February 28, 2024.
  25. Taipei artificial intelligence (AI) for technology- Canadian Technology Accelerator. Deadline: February 28, 2024.

MARCH

  1. Indigenous Arts Individual Project Funding: access up to $15,000 grant to support your cultural or artistic projects. Deadline: March 1, 2024.
  2. Post-Production, Visual Effects and Digital Animation Grant (PPG): Applications will be accepted until March 1 each year, or when all funds for the budget year have been allocated.
  3. Canada Post Community Foundation: up to three (3) Signature Grants of $50,000 each can be awarded each year. DeadlineMarch 1, 2024.
  4. ASEAN Watertech – Canadian Technology Accelerator. Deadline: March 6, 2024.
  5. Odyssey – Language Assistant Program: Participants work 25 hours per week and receive a taxable salary of $27,000 for a nine-month work term. Deadline: March 12, 2024.
  6. Inventures 2024 Startup Pitch Event – Applications Now Open. Apply and have a chance to score $10,000 in funding! Deadline: March 15, 2024.
  7. Partnership Engage Grants: provide short-term and timely support for partnered research activities with up to  $25,000 funding. Next deadline: March 15, 2024.
  8. Funding for Indigenous-led awareness and education projects for cleaner transportation and clean fuels. Call for proposals with continuous intake open until March 31, 2024, or until funds are fully allocated.
  9. Innovation Booster provides up to 50% of total eligible project costs to advance your food innovation and research outcomes. Winter Intake #2 Deadline: March 14, 2024.
  10. Inventures 2024 Startup Pitch Event – Applications Now Open! Apply and have a chance to score $10,000 in funding! Deadline: March 15, 2024.
  11. ICTC’s WIL Digital program provides employers with a wage subsidy of up to $7,000 for underrepresented students. All placements must end on or before March 31st, 2024.  
  12. Funding for Indigenous-led awareness and education projects for cleaner transportation and clean fuels: continuous intake open until March 31, 2024.
  13. Emergency Management Non-Structural Mitigation and Preparedness program: provides funding to build resiliency and prepare for natural hazards. Application is ongoing basis until the funds are exhausted or until March 31, 2024.
  14. Alliance International Quantum grants: Up to $25,000 for one year. Deadline: March 31, 2024.
  15. Counter Uncrewed Aerial Systems Concept Development. Window # 2 Deadline: April 15, 2024.
  16. Concept to Realization component of Explore and Create: access up to $100 000 (to a maximum of $300 000 over 3 years) funding. Deadline: April 17, 2024.
  17. Aboriginal Business Investment Fund: funds up to $750,000 to support an Indigenous community-owned economic development project. The call for ABIF applications opens April 21.
  18. The Indigenous Reconciliation Initiative provides funding up to $100,000 for cultural or economic projects through two streams. Application will open in April 2024.
  19. Farm Technology Program and Efficient Grain Handling Program: Eligible expenses will be cost-shared at 50% grant and 50% applicant. Programming will resume in April 2024, under Year 2 of Sustainable CAP. 
  20. Commemorate Canada program provides funding to initiatives that commemorate and celebrate historical figures, places, events and accomplishments of national significance. More information about future intake processes may be available in Spring 2024.
  21. Alberta Land Trust Grant Program helps establish and administer new conservation easements. Updates may be available in spring/summer 2024.
  22. Aboriginal Fund for Species at Risk: The application period for projects starting in 2025-2026 will open in the fall of 2024.
  23. Creative Export Canada: The $11 million per year will be divided into 2 funding streams: the Export-Ready Stream and the new Export Development Stream. The next intake will be in the winter of 2024.
  24. Enhanced Capacity Advancement Program: The next multi-year funding cycle intake is anticipated for fall 2025. Learn more to help you prepare.
  25. Agricultural Clean Technology Program: Program funding for the Research and Innovation Stream is $50 million. Program ends March 31, 2028.
  26. Supply Management Processing Investment Fund contributes up to $5 million in non-repayable contribution to an organization over the life of the program until March 31, 2028.
  27. Agricultural Clean Technology Program: Research and Innovation Stream: program funding is $50 million over 7 years, with this stream ending March 31, 2028.
  28. Green Construction through Wood (GCWood) Program: application is ongoing until Ongoing until June 30, 2024.
  29. Investments in Forest Industry Transformation (IFIT) seek to invest in projects that integrate technologies leading to greater energy efficiency and explore bioenergy carbon capture in forest sector operations. Ongoing until June 30, 2024.
  30. Alberta Methane Emissions Program: Alt-FEMP program has a total of $10M funding available. Apply now. Final AMEP payments shall occur no later than December 31, 2024.
  31. Ecosystem Development Partnerships Program: building Alberta’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and creating competitive advantage through collaboration.
  32. Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program helps entrepreneurs bridge the scaleup gap, take their business to new heights and go global.
  33. Circuit Rider Training Program: supported by Indigenous Services Canada with more than $12 million per year. Application is ongoing.
  34. Indigenous Clean Energy – Project Accelerator: $125,000 available to assist with the development of an energy efficiency project. 
  35. African Swine Fever Industry Preparedness Program: Prevention and Preparedness Stream: access up to $1M funding. Deadline: November 30, 2024.
  36. African Swine Fever Industry Preparedness Program: Welfare Slaughter and Disposal Stream: access up to $1M funding. Deadline: November 30, 2024.
