NOVEMBER

  1. CIIP – Canadian Quantum Technology Partnering Delegation to France. Deadline: November 14, 2023.
  2. New Horizons for Seniors Program – Pan-Canadian projects: Eligible organizations can apply for $1 million to $5 million. Deadline: November 15, 2023.
  3. Canadian Safety and Security Program is looking for innovative solutions for the challenge: Lighting the path with AI: Advanced analytics and decision support for first responders. Maximum amount per proposal: $2,000,000. Deadline: November 15, 2023.
  4. Optical fiber sensor interrogator challenge. Deadline: November 15, 2023.
  5. Strategic Innovation Fund: Cultivate Grants: Up to $250,000. Deadline: November 15, 2023.
  6. Green Freight Program – Stream 2 – Repower and Replace: funding incentives up to $5M per project are now available. Deadline: November 16, 2023.
  7. Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA): receive a $6,000 award to conduct a 12 to 24-week research project. Professors can submit projects by November 17, 2023. 
  8. Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program – Youth Focused Projects is open and will provide up to $5M per year. Deadline: November 22, 2023.
  9. Clean Energy Transition Partnership Joint Call 2023 is now open. EOI submission deadline: November 22, 2023.
  10. CTA offers new opportunities to scale up your technology company (AI) in India. Deadline: November 22, 2023.
  11. Commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: funding up to $10,000 per organization. Call proposals opens November 23, 2023.
  12. Enabling Better Health through AI (AI-Better Health): funding up to a maximum of $800,000 over 3 years. Deadline: November 24, 2023.  
  13. The Continuing Care Capital Program – Small Care Home Stream support the development of standalone homes. Deadline is extended until November 30, 2023.
  14. Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program: supports producers to conserve and enhance the environmental resiliency of your agricultural landscapes. Next intake deadline: November 30, 2023.
  15. TECHNATION’s Career Ready Program: up to $7000 subsidy available. Winter 2024 Program opens November 2023.
  16. African Swine Fever Industry Preparedness Program: Prevention and Preparedness Stream: access up to $1M funding. Deadline: November 30, 2024.
  17. African Swine Fever Industry Preparedness Program: Welfare Slaughter and Disposal Stream: access up to $1M funding. Deadline: November 30, 2024.
  18. FACTOR Video program: maximum of $40,000 in video funding is available per qualifying release per fiscal year, across all programs. Application is ongoing.
  19. Canada Brand is open to export-ready, registered Canadian business entities that have a role in producing, promoting or supporting Canadian agriculture, food or seafood products. 
  20. Bursary for Internationally Educated Nurses (BIEN): up to $30,000 bursary per learner. The application is first-come, first-served.
  21. Regional Quantum Initiative (RQI) in the Prairie Provinces: EOIs will be accepted on a continuous intake basis until the funding is fully allocated.

 

DECEMBER

  1. Community War Memorial funding up to $25,000 to support the construction, restoration or expansion of a community war memorial. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  2. Arts Presenting Project Funding: reimbursing a portion of professional artists’ fees for the preceding year. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  3. Operating Investments help arts and festival organizations fulfill their arts and festival mandates. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  4. Programming Grants are flexible and support non-profit arts and festival organizations to undertake specific work in Edmonton. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  5. Canada Cultural Investment Fund – Endowment Incentives provides matching funds to create endowment funds or to increase existing ones. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  6. Canada-Japan Corporate Co-innovation Program. Canadian registration deadline: December 4, 2023.
  7. Regional Production Funding – Canada Media Fund provide funding to production across Canada. Deadline: December 7, 2023
  8. The Women in STEM Scholarship application intake for 2023-24 is now open. $125,000 is available for this scholarship. Application intake will close December 8, 2023.
  9. Short-Term Projects – Canada Council for the Arts: up to $100,000 to support for any combination of eligible projects lasting up to 12 months. Next deadline: December 12, 2023.
  10. Climate-Resilient Coastal Communities Program: may fund up to 100% of the total project costs. Deadline: December 13, 2023.
  11. ERA’s $40 million Emerging Innovators Challenge will help Alberta businesses de-risk projects and reduce the time it takes to get them to market. Deadline: December 14, 2023.
  12. International Funding Opportunity: Knowledge Synthesis Grants on Evolving Narratives of Cultures and Histories. Deadline: December 14, 2023.
  13. Canada–UK 2023-24 critical minerals sustainability and circularity call for proposals. Canadian registration deadline: December 15, 2023.
  14. Persons Case Scholarship: 40 students will receive $2,500 each for their studies. Application through GATE until December 18, 2023.
  15. Canada Service Corps – Service Placements National Stream: funds up to $8,000,000 per fiscal year. Deadline: December 19, 2023.  
  16. Canada Service Corps – Service Placements Regional Stream: Up to $3,000,000 per fiscal year. Deadline: December 19, 2023. 
  17. Canada Service Corps – Micro-grants Stream: provides up to $3,000,000. Deadline: December 19, 2023.    
  18. The ACT Open Call is a funding scheme that can support innovative and international CCUS projects. Application is open throughout 2023 until December 31, 2023.
  19. Gay Lea Foundation accepts funding applications from registered Canadian charities. Fall application window will be open in September.
  20. INOVAIT Pilot Fund: up to $125,000 to support collaborative R&D projects with an aim towards commercialization. Deadline: December 20, 2023.
  21. Canada Greener Homes Grant: help homeowners save money, create new jobs across Canada for energy advisors and fight climate change. Provides rebate up to $5,000.
  22. Child care – Space Creation Grant will help enable 42,500 total new non-profit licensed spaces to be created over the next 5 years. 
  23. Aviation Skills Grant: The government plans to launch a second intake this fall. Alberta’s government has a $5-million budget for the grant program in 2024-25.
  24. Creative Export Canada provides up to $7M in funding per year to support export-ready projects. Export-Ready Stream’s next intake will be in the Fall of 2023.
  25. Call for Proposals under the Capacity Building stream of the Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways is expected to open in fall 2023.
  26. First Nation Infrastructure Fund (FNIF) helps improve and increase public infrastructure in First Nations. Deadline: Fall of each year.
  27. CanExport Associations: The 2024-25 application process for projects taking place between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025, is scheduled to commence in fall 2023.
  28. Take advantage of Technology Alberta’s FIRST Jobs Programs this fall. Acquire funding of up to $7,500 to hire quality talent across the province.
  29. Clean Tech Internships: Up to $30,000 is available to cover 80% of an intern’s salary, training and wrap-around service costs.
  30. Green Jobs Internship program: subsidize up to a maximum of $30,000 for youth ages 15 to 30 in the natural resources sector.
  31. Eurostars is the largest international funding program for SMEs seeking to collaborate on R&D projects for commercialization.
  32. Alberta Export Expansion Program: provides reimbursement up to 75% on eligible costs.
  33. Alberta Innovates is still accepting new applications for the Export Readiness – Micro Voucher
  34. Are you ready to go global or explore new markets? The Trade Accelerator Program is your ticket to take your business to the next level.
  35. Low Carbon Economy Challenge: The Challenge Fund 2023 intake is postponed. Stay tuned for update.

JANUARY

  1. Smart Grid Projects: Demonstration Focus Area. Open to expressions of interest to January 10, 2024.
  2. Documentary Heritage Communities Program: Application is now open until January 11, 2024.
  3. Applied Research Tools and Instruments grants support the purchase of research equipment with up to $200,000 funding. Deadline: January 16, 2024.
  4. Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations: provides wage subsidies to eligible employers. 2024-2025 funding cycle deadline: January 19, 2024.
  5. The Agricultural Societies Infrastructure Revitalization Program provides annual capital funding to help agricultural societies make major repairs to existing infrastructure. Deadline: January 31, 2023.
  6. Smart Grid Regulatory Innovation Capacity Building Call for Proposals. Open to expressions of interest to January 31, 2024
  7. Hire a temporary foreign worker through the Recognized Employer Pilot. Phase 1 is now ongoing. Applications for Phase 2 will start in January 2024.
  8. Green Industrial Facilities and Manufacturing Program – Energy Efficiency Solutions: access funding up to $20 million per proposal. Next call is anticipated to be launched in early 2024. 
  9. Young Canada Works in Both Official Languages: benefit from salary subsidies and access to a pool of talented youth. Deadline: First come first serve to applications submitted after February 3rd.
  10. Funding for Indigenous-led awareness and education projects for cleaner transportation and clean fuels. Call for proposals with continuous intake open until March 31, 2024, or until funds are fully allocated.
  11. The Accelerator Partnership Program (A2P) is designed to provide producers of digital media projects. Application is first come, first served. Closing date: February 8, 2024.
  12. Inventures 2024 Startup Pitch Event – Applications Now Open! Apply and have a chance to score $10,000 in funding! Deadline: March 15, 2024.
  13. Counter Uncrewed Aerial Systems Concept Development. Window # 2 Deadline: April 15, 2024.
  14. Aboriginal Fund for Species at Risk: Project funding usually ranges from $10,000 to $50,000 per project, per year. Application for projects commencing in 2024-2025 is now open.
  15. Enhanced Capacity Advancement Program: The next multi-year funding cycle intake is anticipated for fall 2025. Learn more to help you prepare.
  16. Agricultural Clean Technology Program: Program funding for the Research and Innovation Stream is $50 million. Program ends March 31, 2028.
  17. Supply Management Processing Investment Fund contributes up to $5 million in non-repayable contribution to an organization over the life of the program until March 31, 2028.
  18. Agricultural Clean Technology Program: Research and Innovation Stream: program funding is $50 million over 7 years, with this stream ending March 31, 2028.
  19. Supply Management Processing Investment Fund contributes up to $5 million in non-repayable contribution.
  20. Ecosystem Development Partnerships Program: building Alberta’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and creating competitive advantage through collaboration.
  21. Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program helps entrepreneurs bridge the scaleup gap, take their business to new heights and go global.
  22. Investments in Forest Industry Transformation (IFIT) seek to invest in projects that integrate technologies in forest sector operations.
  23. Circuit Rider Training Program: supported by Indigenous Services Canada with more than $12 million per year. Application is ongoing.
  24. Indigenous Clean Energy – Project Accelerator: $125,000 available to assist with the development of an energy efficiency project. 
  25. Green Industrial Facilities and Manufacturing Program – Energy Efficiency Solutons: funding up to $20 million. To launch early 2024.
