Alberta Beekeeper Stock Replacement Program provides support to Alberta beekeepers to help address the impact of COVID-19 on their beekeeping operations. Deadline: January 29, 2021. Link
Revision of the Agriculture Training Support Program has increased maximum support per applicant from $50,000 to $250,000. Deadline: Ongoing. Link

EHRC’s Empowering Futures Program is creating new WIL opportunities in electricity by providing wage subsidies up to $7,500 to employers who create new WIL opportunities. Deadline: Ongoing. Link
Self-Employment Training Program at Microbusiness Training Centre is designed to help you develop business skills, write a solid business plan, and launch your small business. Now recruiting for January 18, 2021. Link
The Shovel-Ready Challenge offers vital financial support to companies prepared to implement cutting-edge technologies in applications for both greenfield and brownfield operations. The deadline for applications is December 22, 2020, at 5 p.m. Mountain Time. You can find more details and access the application here.
The Energy Savings for Business Program is an upcoming funding opportunity designed to assist small- and medium-scale industrial and commercial businesses. This program will allocate up to $55 million for cost-saving and emissions-reducing projects. It’s expected to open pre-approvals in January 2021 on a first-come, first-serve basis. Further information is available here.
The Partnership Intake Program has received up to $75 million in TIER and LCELF funding to support emissions reduction projects aimed at strengthening Alberta’s economy. The program has an ongoing deadline, and you can learn more about it here.
AI for Earth grants provide access to Microsoft resources to support projects that change the way people and organizations monitor, model, and manage Earth’s natural systems. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis. If you’re interested, you can find more information here.
UPDATE: The Alberta Petrochemicals Incentive Program provides grants to companies to attract investment in new or expanded market-driven petrochemical facilities. Program guidelines are now available, and the deadline is November 30, 2030. For additional details, please visit this link.

Creative Export Canada: Offers funding for projects that generate export revenues and help Canadian creative industries reach more people around the world. Deadline: November 25, 2020 for project expenses starting between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022. Link

Alberta Export Expansion Program: Funding to help export-ready companies and non-profit organizations enhance access to international markets and attract global buyers. Link

First Nation Adapt Program works with First Nation communities to identify region-specific priorities, impacts, and opportunities for climate change projects. Deadline: Ongoing. link
Alberta Municipal Water/Wastewater Partnership – Water conservation aimed at encouraging municipalities to implement projects that support water conservation and consumption-based water rate schedules. Deadline: November 30, 2020. link
Hire an energy manager to develop an energy management plan, find cost and energy-saving opportunities, and lead clean energy projects in your municipality. Deadline: Ongoing. link
The Local Road Bridge (LRB) Program provides funding to municipalities for local bridge projects, including engineering, maintenance, rehabilitation, and replacement. Deadline: November 30, 2020. link
The Clean Energy Improvement Program provides residential and commercial property owners with access to competitive, long-term financing to cover up to 100% of their project costs. Expected launch: January 2021. link
Through the Municipal Operating Support Transfer (MOST), the Government of Alberta (GOA) and the Government of Canada are providing funding to support municipalities who experienced significant operating impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more: link

The Faith-based and Cultural Facility Relaunch Grant supports faith-based and cultural organizations with the relaunch of facilities used for cultural, religious, spiritual, and ceremonial gatherings. There are 2 intake deadlines: December 15, 2020, and March 1, 2021. link
The Mitacs Globalink Research Award provides $6,000 for senior undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows in Canada to conduct 12–24-week research projects at universities overseas. Deadline: Ongoing. link
Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship: One award is provided per year to support academically superior students undertaking full-time research education. Application deadline may vary at each university. Applicants must contact their university for further information. link
