1. Agriculture

Canada’s Food Innovation Challenge is offering 50% grant funding up to $2 million for collaborative, industry-led, development and innovation projects. LOI until: November 15, 2021. https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/challenge-defi

2. Arts and Culture

The Organization Structural Change Grant funds up to $150,000. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until November 30, 2021.  https://calgaryartsdevelopment.com/programs/organization-structural-change-grant/

Organization Activation Projects Funding provides a grant to support COVID-19 relaunch and recovery in the arts sector. Deadline: December 1, 2021.  https://www.affta.ab.ca/funding/find-funding/organization-activation-projects-funding

Canada Media Fund (CMF)-Shaw Rocket Fund Kids Digital Animated Series Program: total budget of the Program shall be $3.75 million. Deadline: January 11, 2022. https://cmf-fmc.ca/program/cmf-shaw-rocket-fund-kids-digital-animated-series-program/

3. COVID

Tourism and Hospitality Recovery Program. Deadline: November 20, 2021 with a proposed extension until May 7, 2022.  https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/news/2021/10/targeting-covid-19-support-measures.html

Hardest Hit Business Recovery Program is open to businesses in all other sectors that have experienced revenue reductions of at least 50%. Calgary REP Business Support Grant with grant amount of up to $2000 per successful applicant. Deadline: November 30, 2021.   https://www.calgary.ca/business-economy/investment-and-support/rep-support-grant.html

Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB). Each household can apply up to a maximum of 42 periods between September 27, 2020 and November 20, 2021. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/benefits/recovery-caregiving-benefit.html

4. Employment | Varies

Eco Canada’s Youth in Natural Resources application is now open. Provide up to 80% of wage subsidy. https://eco.ca/wagesubsidy/ynr/hostquiz.aspx

Youth Employment Program funds up to 80% of a new employee’s wages to a maximum of $30,000. Learn more: https://nrc.canada.ca/en/support-technology-innovation/nrc-irap-funding-hire-young-graduates

You can get up to $32,000 towards your employees salary and training expenses through Carreer Launcher’s Natural Resources Internships. Learn more:  https://www.careerlauncher.ca/employers/our-internship-programs/natural-resources/

5. Environment/CleanTech

NRCan provides financial assistance to help fund your industrial facility’s energy management project of up to 50% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $40,000 per facility. The Energy Futures Youth Seed Fund provides $50,000 to support projects initiated, led, and organized by young people. Round 2 opens December 1. Deadline: February 6, 2021. https://energyfutureslab.com/youth-seed-fund/

6. Export

CanExport Community Investments provides non- repayable contributions range from $3,000 to $500,000. Application deadline for 2022 projects: November 19, 2021.  https://www.tradecommissioner.gc.ca/funding-financement/canexport/community-communaute/index.aspx?lang=eng

7. Indigenous

8. Municipalities

Municipalities can apply for funding for projects to develop and maintain local transportation infrastructure through the Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Program (STIP). Deadline: November 30, 2021. https://www.alberta.ca/stip.aspx

Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program funds projects that enhance watershed resiliency to floods and droughts. Deadline: November 30, 2021.  https://www.alberta.ca/watershed-resiliency-and-restoration-program.aspx

The Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways Program (SREPs) provides up to $964 million over four years for smart renewable energy and electrical grid modernization projects.
