A number of grant deadlines, grant events, and business awards are below.
Accelerate: Leadership Program with Protein Industries Canada: helps to develop critical leadership skills and talent for entrepreneurs and SMEs. Register by March 14, 2022.
On Farm Climate Action Fund: provide financial support to producers to accelerate their adoption and implementation of on-farm beneficial management practices (BMPs).
Canadian Agriculture Strategic Priorities Program (CASPP) is a $10 million per year program of non-repayable contribution funding. Deadline: First come, first serve.
Youth Agriculture Education supports the development and delivery of effective agriculture education programs. Application is still ongoing.
The Youth Employment and Skills Program provides a wage subsidy to employers up to a maximum of $14,000. Deadline: March 21, 2022.
Project Grant Program – Individuals and Collectives with total funding available up to $1,600,000. Deadline: April 19, 2022.
The Co-productions component of Arts Abroad: Up to 50% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $50 000 available funding. Deadline: April 27, 2022.
The Foreign Artist Tours component of Arts Across Canada supports Canadian not-for-profit arts organizations with up to $75 000 funding. Deadline: April 27, 2022.
Artists and Education Funding: supports Alberta schools by subsidizing fees of professional artists that provide interactive arts residency projects for grades K-12. Deadline: May 2, 2022.
The Literary Publishing Projects component of Supporting Artistic Practice funds up to $30 000. Deadline: May 4, 2022.
Making Cultural Spaces Safe During COVID-19 Initiative. Open for projects to be carried out before March 31, 2022.
The Canada Recovery Hiring Program (CRHP) has been extended to May 7, 2022.
U.S. Mission to Canada Funding Opportunities: Combatting COVID-19 Grant Program with up to $100,00 grant available. Deadline: July 6, 2022.
Restrictions Exemption Program – Safety training: provide $1 million in grant funding to support Alberta workers.
Restrictions Exemption Program Implementation Grant: provides $2,000 for eligible small- and medium-sized organizations.
Work-Sharing Program: special measures for employers affected by the downturn in business related to COVID-19 effective March 15, 2020 to September 24, 2022.
COVID-19 wage and hiring support for businesses: enable you to re-hire workers, help prevent further job losses, and ease your business back into normal operations.
COVID-19 rent and property expense support for businesses: you may be eligible for a subsidy to cover part of your commercial rent or property expenses.
Indigenous Community Business Fund: access funding to support their community-owned businesses whose revenues have been affected by COVID-19.
NSERC Alliance COVID-19 grants: up to $50,000 for one-year projects is being made available immediately.
The Digital Economy Program helps small businesses take their businesses online.
Stay tuned to the third intake of the Alberta Jobs Now program: up to $370 million funding assistance.

Accessibility Work Experience Program: Receive a wage subsidy between $12.50/hour and $15/hour for a four-to-six-month position. Deadline: March 31, 2022.
The Canada-Alberta Job Grant will extend the program changes introduced in February 2021. An updated program applicant guide will be available on April 1, 2022.
Strive 4 Work: Receive a living allowance of $15/hr for the 25 hrs/wk while attending the 8 weeks of skills training. Program Starts April 4, 2022.
Offered at Microbusiness Training Centre, Self Employment Training Program is a FREE government funded training. Next class starts March 21, 2022.
The Youth Internship Incentive Program provides up to $3,600 incentive. Check here to learn more.
The 2021-22 Campus Alberta Small Business Engagement (CASBE) program is now open for new applications. maximum of $150,000 in available funding from Alberta Innovates.
Environmental Employability Pathways: Funding Up to 100% of a Salary Up to a Maximum of $15,000.
The Skilled Newcomer Internship program contributes 75% up to $20,000 in grant funding towards the cost (e.g. wages, accommodation, training) of hiring a new immigrant to Canada.
The Canadian Environmental Employability Pathways will contribute 100% up to $15,000 towards the wages of an intern for 12 weeks. There is limited funding so apply now!
Career Starter provides bio-economy employers with 50% of a youth’s salary to a maximum of $20,000 in wage subsidies. More details here.
Low Carbon Economy Challenge now open. Applicants can request up to $25 million in funding. Deadline for Expressions of Interest. March 25, 2022.
The ERF Onshore Program Intake 3 is now open and will be accepting applications until March 31, 2022.
The $400 million Active Transportation Fund is now accepting applications. Funding is available for planning projects as well as capital projects. Deadline: March 31, 2022.
The $250 million Rural Transit Solutions Fund is now accepting applications under the Capital Projects stream. Deadline: April 7, 2022.
The $2.75 billion Zero Emission Transit Fund is now accepting applications under the Planning and Capital streams.

Canada – Israel 2022-23 collaborative industrial research and development call for proposals. Registration Deadline: May 6, 2022.
CanExport SMEs: access up to $50,000 in funding to assist with international market development activities.
Export Readiness – Micro Vouchers: with up to $20,000 funding to build and develop a strategic approach for expansion globally. Set to end on May 1, 2023 or when all funds are disbursed.
CanExport Innovation is now accepting applications for projects starting next fiscal year (2022-23). Up to $75,000 in funding available.
The CFEP Large Funding stream is for projects requesting over $125,001 and up to $1 million. annual intake of June 15.
Original Peoples Investment Program: apply up to $25,000 with $650,000 total funding available. Date: Applications open September 2022.
The Alberta government has committed up to $154 million for the continuing Care Capital Program. A new request for grant submissions is anticipated later in 2022. Stay tuned!

Climate Resilience Capacity Building Program: up to $80,000 funding per project available. Deadline: March 31, 2023.
Electric Vehicle Charging Program: provide rebates for municipalities up to $150,000.
Canada Community Revitalization Fund provides support to build and improve community infrastructure projects with up to $750,000 funding per project available. Deadline: March 31, 2023.
WES Ecosystem Fund: $25 million is allocated to support new projects focused on responding to systemic barriers and gaps for diverse, intersectional and/or under-served women. Deadline: March 15, 2022.
Affordable Housing Investment Program: Funding of up to 25% of total construction cost. Applications are being accepted between January 10 and April 13, 2022.
The Community Initiatives Program (CIP), Project-Based grant stream provides assistance to enhance and enrich communities throughout Alberta by . Next Deadline: May 15, 2022.
The CFEP Large Funding stream is for projects requesting over $125,001 and up to $1 million. annual intake of June 15.
Up to a maximum of $100,000 funding available through Stabilize Donation Matching 2.0. Deadline: March 4, 2022 or until all funds awarded. Apply now!
UCeed Child Health and Wellness Fund: Up to $300,000 investment available. Deadline: March 18, 2022.
Idea to Innovation grants: accelerate the pre-competitive development of promising technology originating from the university and college sector. Next deadline: April 4, 2022.
College Fund: Colleges can submit proposals with total CFI requests between $60,000 and $1 million. Deadline: Notices of intent must be submitted on April 7, 2022.
Connection Grants: up to $50,000 funding available or higher amounts can be considered if well justified. Next deadline: April 18, 2022.
John R. Evans Leaders Fund: Universities can submit proposals requesting up to $800,000 from the CFI. Next deadline: June 15, 2022.
The Rural Education Supplement and Integrated Doctor Experience (RESIDE) program will provide $2 million to 20 new family physicians in each of the next three years.
Alliance International: provides $25,000 (Catalyst grants) up to $100,000 per year (Collaboration grants).
Exceptional Opportunities Fund will fund a maximum of 40 percent of the total eligible costs of the infrastructure project.

Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems Sandbox 2022: maximum share provided by DND/CAF to Participants is $12,000 or 50% of eligible expenses. Deadline: April 13, 2022.
