The program is responsible for the acquisition of contemporary artwork created by New Brunswick artists. An assessment committee of art professionals is convened to select the artworks, which are then purchased by collectionArtNB. Decisions made by the assessment committee are based on the Acquisition Program objectives and budget.
CollectionArtNB invites professional artists who have been working in New Brunswick for more than one year to submit artwork for acquisitions when calls are announced. Artists from all – Anglophone, Francophone and Indigenous – communities are encouraged to apply.
