The Métis Nation Language Funding Model of the Indigenous Languages Component supports the Métis National Council governing members and the Manitoba Métis Federation to build and implement their strategies and priorities.
Métis Nation Citizens
Funding will be provided through individual contribution agreements for fiscal years 2023 to 2028. Agreements will be with:
Red River Métis
Métis National Council governing members will determine how these funds can best be used to fund Métis Nation priorities, strategies, and activities to support Métis languages.
Funding will be directed to the Manitoba Métis Federation to support their strategies and priorities and they may also redistribute funding to Red River Métis organizations and communities.
