Rural Team Recruitment Grant Program | Government of Alberta

To be eligible for the program, clinics and community organizations must meet mandatory requirements and adhere to program criteria.

Requirements include:

• recruiting additional non-physician/nurse practitioner team members to increase capacity within the clinic and enabling physicians/nurse practitioners to see more patients
• providing 50% of total funding costs for team member recruitment in existing clinics
  • The maximum salary, inclusive of benefits, is $145,000 of which 50% will be paid by Alberta Health.
• having clinics located in a community listed on the Rural Remote Northern Program (RRNP) Community Rate Table (RRNP) Community Rate Table
• developing a sustainability plan to ensure the long-term retention of recruited team members after the grant term ends
  • This component will be required in the expression of interest form together with any additional information.
• participating in and supporting a project evaluation to ensure outcomes are aligned with overall MAPS implementation and future direction
• submitting regular reporting to Alberta Health (quarterly) with updated timesheets to validate ongoing employment of the team member
