Support Program for the Development of Reserved Designations and Value-added Terms: Stream 1 – Development Support│Government of Québec

Maximum assistance for this component cannot exceed $150,000 per applicant for the duration of the program.

Description

The purpose of this component is to develop reserved designation or value-added term projects by preparing the analysis and governance documents necessary for the examination of the projects by the Conseil des appellations réservés et des termes valorisants (CARTV).

Eligible Applicants

Eligible clienteles are as follows:

  • An association or group of companies from the bio-food sector;
  • A non-profit enterprise operated by a legal person legally constituted under the laws of the Government of Québec or Canada (NPO, cooperative or personified association) or a non-personified association mandated to represent an association or group of companies;
  • An Indigenous community or nation recognized by the National Assembly of Quebec and mandated to represent an association or group of businesses.

Eligible Expenses

The maximum rate of financial assistance is 75% of eligible expenses. The maximum funding amounts per applicant for the duration of the program are as follows:

  • $35,000 for the completion of a feasibility study or the completion of a complementary study;
  • $90,000 for the development of specifications and control plan.

The maximum assistance for this component cannot exceed $150,000 per applicant for the duration of the program.

Deadline Date

continuous basis until March 1, 2026, or until the credits are exhausted, whichever comes first.
