  2. Canadian Technology Accelerators – Cleantech in Mexico. Deadline: October 25, 2023.
  3. CTA offers wide-raging opportunities to Canadian FoodTech companies seeking growth in the United States. Deadline: October 25, 2023.
  4. Silicon Valley FinTechSilicon Valley FinTech CTA program will aim to help Canadian FinTech start-ups. Deadline: October 25, 2023.
  5. Counter Uncrewed Aerial Systems Concept Development. Deadline: Window #1: October 26, 2023; Window # 2: April 15, 2024.
  6. Support for Eligible Music Companies program provides funding for business development initiatives that support the marketing and promotion. Deadlines: October 26, 2023.
  7. Indigenous Forestry Initiative: grants of up to $50,000 are targeted to support Indigenous sustainable forest management projects. EoI deadline: October 30, 2023.
  8. Canada Book Fund – Support for Organization funds up to 100% of eligible expenses or $2,000,000 per project per fiscal year. Deadline: October 31 for projects starting between April 1 and August 31.
  9. Climate Action and Awareness Fund is investing up to $206 million over five years to reduce Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions. EoI deadline: October 31, 2023.
  10. Habitat Stewardship Program for Species at Risk: Project funding ranges from $25,000 to $100,000 per project, per year. Deadline: October 31, 2023.
  11. National Adaptation Strategy & Hydrologic prediction and innovation. Deadline: October 31, 2023.
  12. Aboriginal Fund for Species at Risk: Project funding usually ranges from $10,000 to $50,000 per project, per year. Application for projects commencing in 2024-2025 is now open.
  13. RDAR’s Accelerating Agricultural Innovations (AAI) 2.0 program is now open.
  14. Application is now open for NGen/Digital – Commercialization of Quantum Technologies program. More than $30 million of funding available.
  15. Ecosystem Development Partnerships Program: building Alberta’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and creating competitive advantage through collaboration.
  16. Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program helps entrepreneurs bridge the scaleup gap, take their business to new heights and go global.
  17. Investments in Forest Industry Transformation (IFIT) seek to invest in projects that integrate technologies in forest sector operations.
  18. Circuit Rider Training Program: supported by Indigenous Services Canada with more than $12 million per year. Application is ongoing.
  19. Protein Industries Canada – Capacity Building Program is focused on advancing Canada’s agrifood sector. Application is open.
  20. Call for Proposals under the Capacity Building stream of the Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways is expected to open in fall 2023.
  21. First Nation Infrastructure Fund (FNIF) helps improve and increase public infrastructure in First Nations. Deadline: Fall of each year.
  22. CanExport Associations: The 2024-25 application process for projects taking place between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025, is scheduled to commence in fall 2023.
  23. Indigenous Clean Energy – Project Accelerator: $125,000 available to assist with the development of an energy efficiency project.
  24. Bursary for Internationally Educated Nurses (BIEN): up to $30,000 bursary per learner. The application is first-come, first-served.

  1. TECHNATION’s Career Ready Program: up to $7000 subsidy available. Winter 2024 Program opens November 2023.
  2. The Global Cleantech Challenge: receive up to $1MM CAD, representing as much as 50% of a project’s qualifying expenses. Next deadline: November 1, 2023.
  3. The Indigenous Heritage component of the Museums Assistance Program (MAP) provides funding for projects related to the preservation, management, and presentation of Indigenous cultural heritage in Canada. Deadline: November 1, 2023.
  4. Access to Heritage component of the Museums Assistance Program (MAP) provides funding to heritage organizations for travelling exhibitions in Canada. Deadline: November 1, 2023.
  5. Collections Management — Museums Assistance Program provides funding for projects to improve knowledge, skills and practices related to key museum functions. Deadline: November 1, 2023.
  6. Protein Industries Canada and Innovate UK announce $20 million CDN joint call for plant-based food and ingredient R&D projects. Deadline: November 1, 2023.
  7. SSC is seeking a solution to provide secure high-speed wireless internet access using Radio Frequency-Free (RF-Free) wireless networking technology in secure GC offices and secure operational environments. Deadline: November 2, 2023.
  8. Community-Run Public Art Microgrant Program: Communities may apply for up to $10,000 to support eligible projects. Deadline: November 3, 2023.
  9. Wildfire special measures for the Work-Sharing Program are now in effect. Apply until November 4, 2023.
  10. Plastics challenge: Improving the collection and/or sorting of plastic film and flexible packaging. Deadline: November 8, 2023.
  11. NSERC-SSHRC Sustainable agriculture research initiative: access up to $2,000,000 funding per year. Deadline: November 8, 2023 (Full).
  12. Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation (IEF) is thrilled to offer eleven (11) cash micro-grants worth $5000 each ($55,000 cash total in micro-grants!) for Fall 2023 Micro-grant series. Deadline: November 12, 2023.
  13. SXSW Pitch 2024: Application is now open until November 12, 2023.
  14. CIIP – Canadian Quantum Technology Partnering Delegation to France. Deadline: November 14, 2023.
  15. Canadian Safety and Security Program is looking for innovative solutions for the challenge: Lighting the path with AI: Advanced analytics and decision support for first responders. Maximum amount per proposal: $2,000,000. Deadline: November 15, 2023.
  16. Optical fiber sensor interrogator challenge. Deadline: November 15, 2023.
  17. Strategic Innovation Fund: Cultivate Grants: Up to $250,000. Deadline: November 15, 2023.
  18. Green Freight Program – Stream 2 – Repower and Replace: funding incentives up to $5M per project are now available. Deadline: November 16, 2023.
  19. Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA): receive a $6,000 award to conduct a 12 to 24-week research project. Professors can submit projects by November 17, 2023.
  20. Clean Energy Transition Partnership Joint Call 2023 is now open. EOI submission deadline: November 22, 2023.
  21. CTA offers new opportunities to scale up your technology company (AI) in India. Deadline: November 22, 2023.
  22. Commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: funding up to $10,000 per organization. Call proposals opens November 23, 2023.
  23. Enabling Better Health through AI (AI-Better Health): funding up to a maximum of $800,000 over 3 years. Deadline: November 24, 2023.
  24. The Continuing Care Capital Program – Small Care Home Stream support the development of standalone homes. Deadline is extended until November 30, 2023.
  25. Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program: supports producers to conserve and enhance the environmental resiliency of your agricultural landscapes. Next intake deadline: November 30, 2023.
  26. African Swine Fever Industry Preparedness Program: Prevention and Preparedness Stream: access up to $1M funding. Deadline: November 30, 2023.
  27. African Swine Fever Industry Preparedness Program: Welfare Slaughter and Disposal Stream: access up to $1M funding. Deadline: November 30, 2023.

DECEMBER

  1. Community War Memorial funding up to $25,000 to support the construction, restoration or expansion of a community war memorial. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  2. Arts Presenting Project Funding: reimbursing a portion of professional artists’ fees for the preceding year. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  3. Operating Investments help arts and festival organizations fulfill their arts and festival mandates. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  4. Programming Grants are flexible and support non-profit arts and festival organizations to undertake specific work in Edmonton. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  5. Canada Cultural Investment Fund – Endowment Incentives provides matching funds to create endowment funds or to increase existing ones. Deadline: December 1, 2023.
  6. The Women in STEM Scholarship application intake for 2023-24 is now open. $125,000 is available for this scholarship. Application intake will close December 8, 2023.
  7. Climate-Resilient Coastal Communities Program: may fund up to 100% of the total project costs. Deadline: December 13, 2023.
  8. Short-Term Projects – Canada Council for the Arts: up to $100,000 to support for any combination of eligible projects lasting up to 12 months. Next deadline: December 13, 2023.
  9. ERA’s $40 million Emerging Innovators Challenge will help Alberta businesses de-risk projects and reduce the time it takes to get them to market. Deadline: December 14, 2023.
  10. International Funding Opportunity: Knowledge Synthesis Grants on Evolving Narratives of Cultures and Histories. Deadline: December 14, 2023.
  11. Persons Case Scholarship: 40 students will receive $2,500 each for their studies. Application through GATE until December 18, 2023.
  12. The ACT Open Call is a funding scheme that can support innovative and international CCUS projects. Application is open throughout 2023 until December 31, 2023.
  13. Documentary Heritage Communities Program: Application is now open until January 11, 2024.
  14. Applied Research Tools and Instruments grants support the purchase of research equipment with up to $200,000 funding. Deadline: January 16, 2024.
  15. Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations: provides wage subsidies to eligible employers. 2024-2025 funding cycle deadline: January 19, 2024.
  16. The Agricultural Societies Infrastructure Revitalization Program provides annual capital funding to help agricultural societies make major repairs to existing infrastructure. Deadline: January 31, 2023.
  17. Green Industrial Facilities and Manufacturing Program – Energy Efficiency Solutons: access funding up to $20 million per proposal. Next call is anticipated to be launched in early 2024.
  18. Hire a temporary foreign worker through the Recognized Employer Pilot. Phase 1 is now ongoing. Applications for Phase 2 will start in January 2024.
  19. Funding for Indigenous-led awareness and education projects for cleaner transportation and clean fuels. Call for proposals with continuous intake open until March 31, 2024, or until funds are fully allocated.
  20. The Accelerator Partnership Program (A2P) is designed to provide producers of digital media projects. Application is first come, first served. Closing date: February 8, 2024.
  21. Agricultural Clean Technology Program: Program funding for the Research and Innovation Stream is $50 million. Program ends March 31, 2028.
  22. Supply Management Processing Investment Fund contributes up to $5 million in non-repayable contribution.
  23. Aviation Skills Grant: The government plans to launch a second intake this fall. Alberta’s government has a $5-million budget for the grant program in 2024-25.
  24. Gay Lea Foundation accepts funding applications from registered Canadian charities. Fall application window will be open in September.
  25. Canada Greener Homes Grant: help homeowners save money, create new jobs across Canada for energy advisors and fight climate change. Provides rebate up to $5,000.
  26. Child care – Space Creation Grant will help enable 42,500 total new non-profit licensed spaces to be created over the next 5 years.
  27. Creative Export Canada provides up to $7M in funding per year to support export-ready projects. Export-Ready Stream’s next intake will be in the Fall of 2023.
  28. Take advantage of Technology Alberta’s FIRST Jobs Programs this fall. Acquire funding of up to $7,500 to hire quality talent across the province.
  29. Clean Tech Internships: Up to $30,000 is available to cover 80% of an intern’s salary, training and wrap-around service costs.
  30. Green Jobs Internship program: subsidize up to a maximum of $30,000 for youth ages 15 to 30 in the natural resources sector.
  31. Eurostars is the largest international funding program for SMEs seeking to collaborate on R&D projects for commercialization.
  32. Alberta Export Expansion Program: provides reimbursement up to 75% on eligible costs.
  33. Alberta Innovates is still accepting new applications for the Export Readiness – Micro Voucher.

  35. Low Carbon Economy Challenge: The Challenge Fund 2023 intake is postponed. Stay tuned for update.
