DECEMBER

  1. NSERC-CNSC Small Modular Reactors Research Grant Initiative: up to $120,000 grant available. Deadline: December 13, 2022.
  2. Interested to scale up your business in the UK? Apply now to United Kingdom Enterprise Software – Canadian Technology Accelerator. Deadline: December 14, 2022.
  3. FACTOR’s funding for National Service Organizations provides up to 75% of eligible expenses for up to a maximum of $650,000 per fiscal year. Deadline: December 15, 2022.
  4. Knowledge Synthesis Grants: Shifting Dynamics of Privilege and Marginalization: valued at $30,000 for one year. Deadline: December 15, 2022.
  5. Alberta Community Partnership – Intermunicipal Collaboration provides funding to partnerships of 2 or more municipalities to develop regional plans, service delivery frameworks and regional service delivery efficiencies. Deadline: December 16, 2022.
  6. Agricultural Climate Solutions – Living Labs Program aims to accelerate co-development, testing, adoption, dissemination and monitoring of technologies and practices in the agri sector. Deadline: December 16, 2022.
  7. Canada Periodical Fund – Aid to Publishers component provides financial support to produce and distribute high-quality, Canadian editorial content. Deadline: December 16, 2022.
  8. Multiculturalism and anti-racism grant: up to $1 million total available for the first year of the grant program. Deadline: December 16, 2022.
  9. Industrial Transformation Challenge: Up to $50 million to help the province’s industrial sector reduce emissions, improve competitiveness. Deadline: December 19, 2023.
  10. IDEaS launched four new challenges under its Competitive Projects element. Up to $1 million funding available! Deadline: December 20, 2022.
  11. INOVAIT funds collaborative R&D Projects: up to $2 million grants available. Focus Fund – December 20, 2022.
  12. FoodTech Next is a unique funding opportunity for early-stage Canadian technology firms: up to $250,000. Full proposal deadline: December 21, 2022.
  13. Business Revitalization Grant: up to a maximum grant amount of $25,000. Deadline: December 30, 2022.
  14. Apply now to Education Partnerships Program to receive support in the advancement of First Nations student achievements in school. Deadline: December 31, 2022.
  15. Allard Foundation supports charities in Western Canada primarily in Edmonton and Alberta with up to $10,000. Fiscal year ends on December 31.
  16. Electric Vehicle Charging Programs: With up to 46% of the costs of purchasing and installing a new charging station. Funding is available on a first-come first-served basis.
  17. Care Capital Program is now open for application. Alberta government has committed up to $204 million in Budget 2022.
  18. Climate-Smart Agriculture and Food Systems: up to $24,000,000 total funding available in one of its programs. Learn more.
  19. Receive maximum grant funding up to $500,000 through Emerging Opportunities program. Application is ongoing.
  20. NExT Level Careers offer technology companies $2000 to hire Alberta talent for a 100 hour project. Application is now open.
  21. Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities Program: An additional $300 million is available until 2027 for your clean energy projects.
  22. Indigenous Forestry Initiative (IFI): available funding per year is $1 million.
  23. Technology Alberta FIRST Jobs Pilot Program: applications for companies and students are being accepted for 2023. Apply now!
  24. ImplementAB.digH will be opening soon! up to $300,000 CAD funding available.
  25. Expanded Technologies Pilot program. Incentive limit for parent companies up to $1 million.

JANUARY

  1. TECHNATION’s Career Ready will open on January 1 for Winter 2023 program.  Receive up to $7000.00 subsidy.
  2. Idea to Innovation (I2I) grants helps accelerate the pre-competitive development of your promising technology. Next deadline: January 6, 2023.
  3. The Alberta government has committed up to $204 million in Budget 2022 for the Continuing Care Capital Program. The application deadline is Friday, January 6, 2023.
  4. Neighbour Grants offers up to $7,500 to help people build their sense of inclusive belonging in their own communities. Next deadline: January 10, 2023.
  5. CanExport Associations: 2023-2024 application process will be open on November 29, 2022. Access up to $250,000 in annual funding. Deadline: January 10, 2023.
  6. Hire and mentor youth in the natural resources sector through Science and Technology (S&T) Internship Program – Green Jobs. Deadline to submit proposal for 2023-24 and 2024-25 is until January 11, 2023.
  7. Translation component of Arts Across Canada: Up to $25 000 for each translation, plus an Annual Supplement for targeted costs. Next Deadline: January 11, 2023.
  8. Canada Summer Jobs is now accepting applications. Deadline: January 12, 2023.
  9. Alberta Community Partnership – Municipal Restructuring provides funding to municipalities involved with regional governance and municipal restructuring processes. Deadline: January 16, 2023.
  10. Microbusiness is now recruiting for online self-employment training. Class starts January 16, 2023.
  11. Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage (YCWBCH): benefit from wage subsidies and access a pool of students and graduates with innovative ideas and competitive skills. Deadline: January 20, 2023.
  12. The next cohort of the National Farm Leadership Program will begin its journey on January 23, 2023. Learn more.
  13. Stabilize Program – Adapt and Innovate Stream: supports Alberta sport and cultural identity, support tourism, and restore community vibrancy. Deadline: January 31, 2023.
  14. The Disaster Recovery Program (DRP) provides financial assistance for uninsurable loss and damage caused by emergencies and disasters. Application is ongoing.
  15. Business Revitalization Grant: provides a grant matching 50% of construction costs up to a maximum grant amount of $25,000.
  16. Jobs and Growth Fund (JGF) in the Prairie Provinces: maximum funding available for a project is $10 million.
  17. Public Transit Infrastructure stream support the building, expansion, and upgrading of urban and rural transit networks. Learn more.
  18. Are you in need of funding to develop and commercialize your innovative clean technologies? Apply now to Alberta Innovates’ Clean Resources programs.
  19. Submit an Expression of Interest to demonstrate the value of your technology through the Expanded Technologies Pilot program. Incentive limit for parent companies increases up to $1 million.
  20. The Artist-Driven Organizations component of Explore and Create supports the development of artistic activities. Grant amounts up to 60% of your total annual revenues. Deadline: January 17, 2024.
  21. Stabilize Program – Adapt and Innovate Stream: This funding will help protect and promote Alberta sport and cultural identity, support tourism, and restore community vibrancy. Deadline: January 31, 2023.
  22. Join a Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) to explore opportunities to grow your business in 12 global tech hubs worldwide. Learn more.
  23. EDC Investment Matching Program can match investments of up to $5 million in capital. Learn more.

FEBRUARY

  1. Connection Grants: access up to $50,000 or even higher to support your knowledge mobilization initiatives. Next deadline: February 1, 2023.
  2. Research grants provide matching grants of up $25,000. Annual application deadline is the first working day of February.
  3. Insight Development Grants: valued at $7,000 to $75,000 over one to two years. Deadline: February 2, 2023.
  4. York Development Entrepreneurship Institute (YEDI) Incubator: open to entrepreneurs across Canada. Applications are now live and due online by February 3, 2023.
  5. Alberta Community Partnership – Mediation and Cooperative Processes program support municipalities for mediation, facilitation or other dispute resolution alternatives to resolve intermunicipal conflict. Deadline: February 3, 2023.
  6. Inventures Startup Pitch Event 2023. Win $10,000 in inventures startup pitch competition. Deadline: February 24, 2023.
  7. The Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) Program: access up to $25 million funding. Deadline: February 28, 2023.
  8. Odyssey – Language Assistant Program: paid work experience that provides a taxable salary of $ 25,000 for a nine-month work term. Deadline: February 28 of every year.
  9. Alberta Petrochemicals Incentive Program provides grants to companies to attract investment in new or expanded market-driven petrochemical facilities.
  10. Need funding for Indigenous-led clean production capacity projects? Apply here before funding expires.
  11. Community building recommissioning grant provides up to $55,000 to cover up to 60% of eligible costs. Apply now before all funding is allocated.
  12. Connect to Innovate program committed $585 million to improve connectivity in over 975 rural and remote communities by 2023. Application is still ongoing.
  13. Alberta’s government is reinstating fire services training grants. A total of $500,000 a year in grants will be available. Stay tuned for more details.
  14. Canada Post Community Foundation provides grants to projects that improves the life of children and youth. Next application opens in March 2023.
  15. AgriInnovate Program: funding up to 50% of total eligible costs, to a maximum of $10 million. Deadline: March 31, 2023.
  16. Apprenticeship Incentive Grant for Women (AIG-W) is a taxable grant worth $3,000 per level. Deadline: March 31, 2023.
  1. Venture Capital Catalyst Initiative (VCCI): Deadline for the second round of the inclusive growth stream: June 2, 2023.
  2. The Tourism Relief Fund (TRF) is a $500-million national program to support the tourism sector in Canada.
  3. The Major Festivals and Events Support Initiative (MFESI) is a two-year, $200-million national fund to help major Canadian festivals survive and adapt to the pandemic.
  4. Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program: COVID-19 Resilience stream: The maximum size of projects under the stream is set at $10M total eligible costs.
  5. The Jobs and Growth Fund provides funding to businesses and organizations to help create jobs and position local economies for long-term growth. Learn more.
  6. The Digital Economy Program helps small businesses take their businesses online.
  7. The Aerospace Regional Recovery Initiative (ARRI) is a national program that will provide $250 million over three years to help the Canadian aerospace sector.
  8. Short-Term Compensation Fund for Canadian Audiovisual Productions (STCF): extended until March 31, 2023 and is budgeted at up to $150 million dollars.
  9. Arts Presentation Fund for COVID Recovery: the City of Edmonton allocated funds for artists to present and perform their work. Application is still ongoing.
  10. Indigenous Community Support Fund: request funding for needs-based support covering the period until March 31, 2023.
  11. Recovery support for Canadian arts, culture and heritage organizations through Canada Arts and Culture Recovery Program.
