Adaptation in Action Program | ClimateWest:

Up to $50,000 may be awarded per project proposal.

Description

ClimateWest has launched the Adaptation in Action Program, a call for project proposals that advance climate adaptation in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. ClimateWest has a total of $300,000 in funding available to support approved projects. Up to $50,000 may be awarded per project proposal. Funding will be awarded based on the rated criteria and feasibility of proposals received (see Section 3).

Eligible Applicants

Applicants can be:

  • Indigenous communities and organizations;
  • Non-profit organizations;
  • Municipalities;
  • Research centres;
  • Businesses;
  • Other organizations; or
  • Partnerships assembled for the project.

Individuals are eligible to apply, however partnerships are preferred.

Eligible Expenses

The goal of this Call for Proposals is to:

  • Advance climate adaptation and preparedness by supporting development of tools, products, or services for a sustainable future in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba;
  • Continue to build a broad network of adaptation actors;
  • Develop and increase awareness of regional adaptation needs; and
  • Build on existing regional adaptation work.

Beginning December 5, 2023, and closing February 20, 2024.
