January 26, 2026
One of the best ways for you to win grant money is to be known, trusted, and respected in your industry.
During these uncertain economic, social, and political times, the federal government will be looking for almost a “Team Canada” of leaders in business and not-for-profit organizations.
This unique season will create great opportunities for leaders from energy, agriculture, technology, as well as representatives from housing, exports, Indigenous, municipalities, newcomers, employment and youth.
Governments need your expertise and insights, so don’t keep your message locked up where it’s impossible to find.
You don’t need to boast or embellish.
Be clear and factual.
You also don’t need to make several points.
Make one important point well.
In today’s Financial Post, one of the brightest minds in Canada’s energy sector, Adam Waterous, penned a special opinion piece.
Notice how he ties his point to Carney’s speech at Davos.
He is telling the government about an important problem in his industry and recommending a solution.
You can do that in your space too.
Not only will you eventually win significant grants, but you’ll feel good about yourself. You’ll be respected by your colleagues.
Canada needs its best to shine.
That is you!
