Through the BC Ferries Sport Experience Program, BC Ferries and viaSport provide travel support to eligible not-for-profit sport organizations and athletes.
Applications may be submitted, individually or for a group, by the following:
The BC Ferries Sport Experience Program features an annual total value in-kind budget of $100,000. With approximately 500 applications received each year, approximately 325 applications are fully or partially issued ferry vouchers. On eligible applications, the expected success rate is approximately 65%.

The BC Ferries Sport Experience Program accepts applications on a continuous basis. However, funding for travel is currently available only through March 31, 2026. Applications must be submitted at least 10 business days before the first day of travel. Given the current date, new applications for travel within this funding period are no longer feasible. Please visit the official viaSport website for the most current information and to check for announcements regarding future travel periods.
