Increase the development of applied knowledge in response to the challenges of Quebec’s bio-food sector and the adaptation of existing knowledge and technologies to the specific conditions of this sector.
The eligible clientele differs according to the category of eligible projects.
The financial assistance covers 80% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $200,000 (excluding indirect research costs and administrative costs). Of this amount, a maximum increase of 10% in the financial assistance rate may be granted for projects that meet ministerial or government priorities.
The Bio-Food Innovation Program, Stream 2, operates through periodic calls for projects. The last intake for this stream closed on January 16, 2026. Currently, there are no new calls for projects open or announced. Please visit the official MAPAQ website for the most up-to-date information on future opportunities.
