Value$75 million over 5 years
Coastal Restoration Fund is part of the national Oceans Protection Plan, launched May 2017.
The fund addresses threats to marine habitats and species located on Canada’s coasts and supports efforts that:
- contribute to strategic planning as well as identifying and responding to restoration priorities
- rehabilitate aquatic habitats
- contribute to long-term sustainability
- encourage and build local communitycapacity
Program funding will target regional priority areas that have the greatest strategic value.
