Commemorations and Celebrations Program | Government of New Brunswick

Maximum of 50% of total project costs up to a maximum of $35,000 total per fiscal year.

Description

The New Brunswick Commemorations & Celebrations Program provides funding to assist in covering some of the costs associated with programs, activities, and initiatives that commemorate and celebrate significant historical events in New Brunswick. This program considers activities marking anniversaries in increments of 25 years.

Eligible Applicants

  • New Brunswick based and a;
  • Not-for-profit organization or;
  • Local government that has a cultural policy or;
  • First Nations community.

Eligible Expenses

The overall objective of this program is to encourage celebratory and commemorative activities so that significant New Brunswick stories are recognized, preserved, and shared with present and future generations so that:

  • Communities have capacity to share their heritage and;
  • Participants of commemoration and celebration activities gain awareness of New Brunswick’s heritage.

Deadline Date

Open and closes. Application forms must be submitted by April 30 or October 31.
