The Industrial Research Chair (IRC) initiative is designed to establish and enhance research capacity at Northern Ontario universities, colleges, and research institutions.
Northern Ontario universities, colleges, and research institutions (defined as a not- for-profit organization whose primary activity is scientific research and which is formally affiliated with a Northern Ontario post-secondary institution).

The Industrial Research Chair Program operates on a continuous intake basis, meaning applications are accepted year-round. There is no fixed deadline for submissions. Applicants are encouraged to visit the official NOHFC website to review program guidelines and begin the application process.
