This $2000 scholarship is intended for equity-deserving individuals facing barriers to equal access, opportunities, and resources due to disadvantage and/or discrimination. Through the scholarship, we are seeking to promote inclusivity, amplify historically marginalized voices, and encourage diverse perspectives and participation in the solar and solar-related sector.
This scholarship will have up to 4 intake processes throughout the year, if funds allow.
Equity-deserving identities include:
Solar Alberta recognizes that marginalization is created by attitudinal, historic, social, and environmental barriers for other reasons as well, including age, neurodiversity, economic status, etc., and therefore we welcome applications from minority groups beyond those listed above.
Awards $2,000 to one equity-deserving individual registered in an Alberta training program that aligns with our mission of accelerating a just and sustainable energy future in Alberta.
Recipients may use this scholarship toward any training program in Alberta (including all post-secondary programs and/or educational programs on the Solar Alberta directory), that relates to our mission, including (but not limited to) Solar Alberta’s training courses and workshops.
