A total funding envelope of $100,000 is available in 2025. Applicants can request between $1,000 and $10,000 in funding.

Description

The Springboard Grant is a capacity-building grant to support your organization in developing competencies, developing new strategies, or improving processes or systems. It is an opportunity to invest in your organization, have a more significant impact, and improve your ability to achieve an environmental outcome.

Eligible Applicants

The following organisations are eligible to apply:

  • Registered charities
  • Nonprofit organisations
  • Band Councils; Tribal Councils, Tribal Associations or Tribal Governments; and Organisations of Indigenous communities across Alberta

Focus Areas:

  • Nature-based Solutions & Conservation
  • Climate Resilience & Emissions Reductions
  • Circular Economy
  • Overarching/ Foundational

Deadline Date

The Springboard Grant operates on a cyclical basis, typically opening for applications in mid-July and closing in early September. The application period for 2025 has now closed. Details for the 2026 intake, including specific opening and closing dates, have not yet been announced.
