URGENT DEADLINE! EcoAction Stream 2: Freshwater Sustainability and Innovation across Canada: access up to $200,000. Deadline: January 20, 2026. 

URGENT DEADLINE! FACTOR – Company Envelope: Top-Tier. The maximum funding level for individual companies is up to $600,000; affiliated companies are capped at $800,000. Deadline: January 22, 2026. 

URGENT DEADLINE! Team Grant: Health Effects of Ultra-Processed Foods: Total amount available for this funding opportunity is $7,560,000. Deadline: January 22, 2026.

OPEN! Indigenous Relations Office Sponsorships: Funding is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

OPEN! Aboriginal Entrepreneurship Program: Access to Capital: Indigenous entrepreneurs may receive up to $99,999 in funding assistance.

SOON TO OPEN! Magazine — Aid to publishers: grants up to Up to $1.5 million per periodical. Deadline: February 2, 2026 to March 16, 2026. 

SOON TO OPEN! FCM’s Tree Planting – Funding for ambitious and equitable tree planting projects. Access up to a maximum of $10 million in project funding. Applications will reopen in 2026.

Nominations for Canadian Hydrogen Convention awards now open until January 23, 2026. 

Sport, physical activity and recreation – Award programs. Nominations Close January 30, 2026. 

Nominations Now Open for the 35th Annual Emerald Awards until February 9, 2026. 

Alberta Order of Excellence: Nominations are accepted year-round, but must be received by Feb. 15 to be considered for investiture this year. 

The Michener Award celebrates and honours outstanding and unbiased journalism that results in positive change for the public good. Submission closes February 20, 2026. 

Call for nominations: Women shaping Canada’s horticultural sector. Nominations are open until March 20, 2026.
