Zero-Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative: Education and awareness project funding – clean transportation and clean fuels:

NRCan is seeking to support projects that increase awareness, knowledge and understanding about the opportunities, benefits and considerations of ZEVs and clean fuels related to three areas of focus:

• Area of Focus 1 – Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative – Light-Duty Vehicles: Supports projects that aim to increase awareness of, knowledge of, and public confidence in light duty zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), including micro-mobility, cars, trucks and SUVs, and public charging and refueling infrastructure.
• Area of Focus 2 – Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative – Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles: Supports projects that address education and awareness gaps to facilitate greater adoption of zero-emission and low-emission options in the medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (MHDV) sector.
• Area of Focus 3 – Clean Fuels Awareness Projects: Supports projects that address awareness and knowledge gaps among Canadians and industry on all clean fuel types and clean fuel technologies across all industries, commercial applications and the general public.

Example project activities:

• developing in-person or online education and/or awareness events, such as test drive opportunities
• developing curriculum or training material
• outreach and awareness campaigns
• creating web-based resources
• developing in-person professional training or industry-led skills training
• increasing knowledge of charging & refuelling and/or clean fuels options and technologies
