Watershed Stewardship Grants provide much-needed funding to community stewardship groups to support their efforts.
Since 2006, 177 groups from communities across Alberta have received in excess of $3,130,000 to deliver 410 local projects that help ensure a safe, secure drinking water supply, healthy aquatic ecosystems and reliable, quality water supplies for a sustainable economy.
If your organization has a project in mind to enhance, protect or restore Alberta’s valued water resources, consider applying. Stewardship and synergy groups, naturalist organizations, First Nations and Métis communities, recreational and community associations, and other non-profits can apply. We invite and encourage creative, innovative and collaborative stewardship projects.
