Description

he Apic program provides financial support to non-profit organizations (NPOs) working in Francophone minority communities (FMCs) in the arts and culture, identity building and civic participation sectors. Through a wage subsidy, APic aims to support the vitality of the targeted sectors, thereby strengthening the vitality of FMCs.

The assistance provided allows employers to fill employment opportunities within their organization for up to 52 weeks.

Eligible Applicants

Eligibility criteria for employers

  • Non-profit organization operating in a Francophone minority community;
  • Be an employer duly registered with the Canada Revenue Agency;
  • Hold or adhere to a human resources policy aimed at countering harassment, bullying and discrimination, including a related complaint management mechanism;
  • Ensure that the intern is under the responsibility of an immediate supervisor in regular contact with the intern throughout the duration of the internship.

  • Maximum hourly rate used in the calculation of the subsidy: $22.50/hour
  • Maximum % of the program’s contribution to total eligible expenses: 75%
  • Maximum % of contribution for mandatory employer contributions: 13%
  • Maximum duration of funding: 52 weeks
  • Maximum hour per week: 35 hours

Deadline Date

For this first year of the program, exceptionally, there is no deadline to submit a funding application.
