Civil Forfeiture Grant Program │ Government of New Brunswick

Up to 100% of total project costs, up to a maximum of $40,000 per project, per stream.

Description

The Civil Forfeiture Grant Program provides annual, one-time funding to organizations from across B.C. for the implementation of crime prevention and remediation projects.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible Organizations must be based in B.C, and include:

  • Local governments
  • Registered non-profits and charities in good standing
  • Schools and school districts
  • Health authorities
  • Academic institutions
  • Police departments
  • Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis) governments, tribal councils, band councils or organizations.

Eligible Expenses

Up to $40,000 for projects that deliver trauma informed, culturally safe crime prevention and/or crime remediation projects that address criminal activity by providing direct interventions for vulnerable individuals at-risk of, or currently involved in, criminal activities and / or behaviour, including prolific offenders.

Examples of projects that may be eligible include;

  • Projects that focus on the direct delivery of crime prevention services or supports for youth with multiple risk factors from appropriate referral sources;
  • Projects that incorporate promising practices around prevention, intervention and diversion from criminal activity for participants of all ages;

Deadline Date

The Government of New Brunswick's Provincial Proceeds of Crime (PPOC) program issues grants to assist agencies in policing or crime reduction. Funding is variable, and there is no fixed application deadline. Interested agencies are advised to contact the program directly at pps-spp.info@gnb.ca for current funding availability and application procedures.
