Description

The Community Wellbeing grant program provides 50 awards of $1,000 each to organizations that promote health and wellbeing in their communities. This program supports the physical, mental and social wellbeing of all Albertans and celebrates Alberta Blue Cross’s legacy of giving back to the communities we serve.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible organizations include:

  • Registered charities
  • Municipalities
  • Non-profit organizations
  • Businesses (a registered business number is required)

Organizations must be based in Alberta (including Alberta chapters of national organizations), support publicly accessible community amenities and provide services that promote the physical, mental or social wellbeing of community members. Examples include the following:

  • newcomers and refugees,
  • seniors,
  • families,
  • vulnerable youth,
  • children,
  • LGBTQ2S+,
  • individuals with disabilities,
  • individuals requiring mental health support,
  • indigenous peoples, and
  • visible minorities.

Eligible Expenses

This program supports the physical, mental and social wellbeing of all Albertans and celebrates Alberta Blue Cross’s legacy of giving back to the communities we serve.
