Technical and Essential Skills Training │ BioTalent Canada

Description

Training is critical to organizational growth, yet limited funding and time can make it challenging for employers to fully achieve their goals. In collaboration with the Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC), BioTalent Canada is providing a new time-limited opportunity for bioscience employers to receive financially supported, industry-recognized training as a part of a new pay-for-performance project.

Eligible Applicants

Bioscience employers.

Participation includes access to the following industry-developed courses:

  • Essential Skills Fundamentals
    • Introduction to the Bio-economy
    • Reading Fundamentals
    • Writing Fundamentals
    • Numeracy Fundamentals
    • Document Use Fundamentals
    • Communication Fundamentals
    • Collaboration Fundamentals
    • Problem Solving Fundamentals
  • Technical Skills Fundamentals
    • Scientific Report Writing Fundamentals
    • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Fundamentals
    • Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Fundamentals
    • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Fundamentals
    • Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Fundamentals

Eligible Expenses

Employers participating in this project are able to:

  • Remove financial barriers by receiving up to a 70% training reimbursement
  • Provide employees with industry-recognized training opportunities through BioTalent Canada’s Essential and Technical Skills Fundamentals courses bundle
  • Free up more time and increase capacity to provide training to employees
  • Improve employees’ skill development in several key areas of essential and technical competencies
  • Access tools and supports to maximize skill development and enhance job performance
  • Invest in workforce growth to attract and retain top talent

Employers participating in this project can be reimbursed up to 70% (including tax) on the cost for BioTalent Canada’s Essential and Technical Skills Fundamentals courses based on the completion of three simple milestones – all of this training support with minimal administration from organizations.
