University and College Entrance Preparation Program (UCEPP) aims to enable First Nations students to attain the academic level required for entrance into degree and diploma credit programs, as prioritized and directed by First Nations.

Eligible Applicants

  • Status First Nations post-secondary students who maintain satisfactory academic standing within an eligible post-secondary institution.
  • Funding is limited and not all students may be funded. Partial funding may be provided. Applications are valid for 1 school year only.

Eligible Expenses

Eligible costs covered by the program may include:

  • tuition
  • books
  • travel support
  • living allowances

Deadline Date

The University and College Entrance Preparation Program (UCEPP) does not have a single national application deadline. Deadlines and application processes are managed at the local level by First Nations band offices or Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) regional offices. Applicants must contact their local band office or ISC regional office directly to inquire about specific deadlines and how to apply for funding.
