Energy Innovation Program (EIP) – National Energy Systems Modelling Call | Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)

Between $300,000 and $1,000,000 over a period of up to a maximum of three years.

Description

The Energy Innovation Program (EIP) – National Energy Systems Modelling Call for Proposals (“the Call”) will fund projects that quantitatively model the role of innovative technologies in achieving emissions reductions and supporting Canada’s net-zero emissions targets.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible Canadian Recipients will be:

  • Legal entities validly incorporated or registered in Canada including:
    • For profit and not for profit organizations
    • Community groups
    • Canadian academic institutions
  • Provincial, territorial, regional and municipal governments and their departments and agencies where applicable
  • Indigenous:
    • Indigenous communities or governments
    • Tribal Councils or entities that fulfill a similar function (e.g., general councils)
    • National or regional Indigenous councils, or tribal organizations
    • Indigenous (majority owned and controlled by Indigenous people) for-profit or not-for-profit organizations

Eligible Expenses

Eligible expenditures – costing memorandum:

  • Salaries and benefits
  • Professional, technical, and scientific contracting services
  • Travel, meals, and accommodation costs
  • Capital expenditures
    • Materials
    • Equipment
  • Other expenses
    • Testing services
    • Overhead expenses

Deadline Date

Complete and submit your EOI via the Applicant Portal by 1pm ET on January 24, 2025.
